So there's this great nurse I work with, who's very gentle and very smart and is one of those people who holds up this place. She reads a lot, and I've work-befriended her. She never seems to be reading anything I've read and vice versa.
She brought me in two books last night and I will read them. An author by the name of Nora Roberts, who it seems the rest of the world has heard of, but I haven't paid attention to. G said "They're kind of historical fiction." Okay. I like historical fiction.
This is the back of Rafe and Jared: The MacKade Brothers:
"Ten years later and the bad boy of the bunch has returned home. Appealing as ever, not even lovely Regan Jones, the town's reserved antiques dealer, was immune to Rafe MacKade. Regan claimed her plans didn't include relationships with rebels, but her reaction to The Return of Rafe MacKade -- and his sizzling kisses -- said something quite different."
...
Did she have to name the character RAFE? Come ON...RAFE?
I haven't read a bodice-ripper in years. I'll let you know how it goes.

LOL - that sounds like it should be an easy read. I've heard the name Nora Roberts but hadn't known what she wrote. 'Historical fiction'...heh.
I, upon meeing a "Rafe" never know whether to pronounce it "Ralph" as in Mr Fiennes or "Ray-fe," which seems more Continental but somehow...gah. Too confusing!
Most of Nora Robert's characters throb. They just do. They throb.
back to dem bones...
OK, not in the same arena, but have you read Maytrees? Its meant to be read but slowly. . .
